MAKHANDA - In Makana, the water woes continue, and so does the wait for relief.
Some communities haven’t seen a drop of water in over a week.
Now, after a dry Christmas, it looks like they might ring in the new year with nothing but empty buckets.
This isn’t a new crisis, the Makana Local Municipality has battled intermittent water supply for over a decade.
But as frustration mounts, the Gift of the Givers has stepped in, delivering water tankers to the hardest-hit areas.
