JOHANNESBURG - A disturbing video showing seven schoolgirls assaulting a Bedfordview High School pupil has gone viral.
The girls, from multiple Johannesburg schools, were allegedly involved in a planned attack that happened at a house in Yeoville earlier this month.
They’ve since been suspended and have appeared in court on charges of common assault.
The Gauteng Education Department has condemned the violence and launched internal investigations.
The departments spokesperson, Steve Mabona urged learners to speak out against bullying.
