Senqu bridge to start pumping water in 2029

JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa and the Lesotho monarch opened the Senqu bridge recently.

It's part of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project.

The R2.4-billion bridge is part of phase two of the project that supplies water to South Africa.

The bridge will start pumping by 2029.
