JOHANNESBURG - The Special Investigating Unit has recovered more than R1.7-billion from NSFAS funding.
The money was improperly claimed by unqualified students and mismanaged between 2016 and 2021.
The unit says despite its interventions, it's finding the same problems year in and year out.
