CAPE TOWN - South Africa's graduate unemployment rate has fallen to 10.4 % in the third quarter.
However, the country still has a lot to do in order to prepare them adequately, for an evolving job market.
Schools and higher learning institutions are an important component in this quest.
Tiego Monareng, from the Hasso Plattner d-school Afrika is urging unemployed graduates to be adaptable beyond their degrees.
Monareng says students must go beyond skills by doing the work and showing the right mindset to learn and adapt when applying for a job.
"We want students to be able to not just show that they have the skills and the technical capacity to do the job but also the mindset to take on all the different problems and show their way of thinking, learning and adapting."
