UNGA80 | Ramaphosa co-chairs event focused on women and children

NEW YORK - President Cyril Ramaphosa continues to lead team South Africa at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. 

On Wednesday he was expected to conveneand co-chair the high-level event on health and rights as Chair of the Global Leaders Network on Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents Health.

The event will be co-chaired by Botswana’s President, Boko Duma and former New Zealand Prime Minister, Helen Clark.

It comes after Ramaphosa addressed the general debate saying bemoaning that trade is now being used as a weapon against a number of countries in the world.
