DURBAN, KZN - Safety and tolerance will be paramount when South Africans cast their votes at various voting stations on Wednesday. 

In KwaZulu-Natal, provincial police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has outlined plans on more police deployment to ensure safety.

KwaZulu-Natal has a history of political violence and this year the province is flagged as battleground for votes.
