WATCH | DA demands clarity on the intensity of power cuts

JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance wants the Eskom System Operator to shed some light on the intensity of this past weekend's power cuts.

Eskom escalated rolling blackouts to Stage 6, but some experts say the outages experienced in parts of the country are consistent with Stage 8.

The Democratic Alliance has taken steps to determine what happened.

It's petitioned the System Operator over what it described as a growing trend to issue misleading blackout schedules.
