WATCH | Home Affairs Minister must make Electoral Reform Progress Report public - Civil Society

JOHANNESBURG - The public should be armed with enough information about the electoral system.

This is so that they're able to fully exercise their political rights, says civil society organisation, My Vote Counts.

The Electoral Amendment Act of 2023 came into effect on 19 June stipulating that a reform panel should be set up by Parliament within four months of the commencement of said Act.
However, that deadline has come and gone, says political systems researcher at My Vote Counts, Boikanyo Moloto.
