WATCH | How much heroin is passing through SA ports?

JOHANNESBURG - A recent study by the Journal of Illicit Economies and Development shows that over 400 000 people were using heroin in 2020.

And, with South Africa now playing a critical role in the smuggling of heroin produced in the Middle East to Europe, Africa, and Australia.

It has become more available as it passes through the country's different ports of entry.
