Mpumalanga’s Mpho Sehapi is swapping textbooks for trekking poles as she heads to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
The grade 10 pupil is part of this year’s Trek4Mandela expedition, and if all goes well, she could become the youngest female to summit Africa's highest peak.
But this is more than just a climb — it’s a mission to raise awareness about girls who miss school because they can’t afford sanitary items.
