UNITED KINGDOM - The United Kingdom has entered a recession. This after a steeper-than-expected fall in GDP.

It's just months ahead of a general election. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has previously pledged to generate economic growth.

The UK is also experiencing an increase in overseas student application.
