JOHANNESBURG - The presence of contaminants of emerging concern in water is becoming a growing global problem.
This follows findings by the Department of Water and the Water Research Commission, which detected traces of ARVs and microplastics in water sources.
The findings have sparked public health concerns.
Water Research Commission Research Manager, Dr Nonhlanhla Kalebaila, said it is a global concern.
