WhatsApp and Instagram forced to remove accounts following sexual abuse

JOHANNESBURG - Meta, which owns Instagram and WhatsApp, is facing legal challenges concerning Instagram handles and WhatsApp channels that are posting child sexual abuse.

A ruling by the Gauteng High Court ordered Meta to shut down certain Instagram accounts and WhatsApp channels.

John Makate from Rupert Candy Attorneys says this issue had severe consequences for the victims.
