Workers' Day | Harsh realities of domestic workers

JOHANNESBURG - In the heart of some of Johannesburg’s most affluent suburbs, lies some dark secrets.

Many domestic workers live in poor conditions, face discrimination and have little access to basic facilities.

But it's all hidden behind high gates and electric fences.

These are the findings of a study by Annabel Fenton from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
