Zero tolerance for errant drivers in the Western Cape this Festive

CAPE TOWN - Residents and visitors to the Western Cape, have been warned this festive season. There will be zero tolerance for errant drivers.

More than 580 traffic officers are set to be deployed throughout the province, as authorities hope to further reduce road fatalities this year.

Last year, 446 drivers were arrested for drunk driving and 23 for speeding during this period.

The province's festive road safety operations were launched on Friday, by Western Cape Mobility MEC Ricardo MacKenzie.
