WATCH | HAITU demands Electricity Minister implement court order

JOHANNESBURG - The Health and Allied Workers Indaba Trade Union is demanding that the electricity minister, Kgosientso Ramakgopa implement the court order of the High Court.

Various political parties, including Build One SA, UDM and the DA took government to court in a bid to ensure schools and other public institutions were exempt from power cuts.

The North Gauteng High Court instructed the Electricity Minister to exempt certain institutions from blackouts by 31 January 2024.
