JOHANNESBURG - At least 40 people are dead after a bus plunged into a ravine in western Pakistan.
Eight passengers were injured in the crash.
Authorities said the bus lost control earlier today and fell into a rocky ravine in a remote area near the border between Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Officials add that the overcrowded bus was also carrying passengers from another vehicle that had broken down.
They said speeding is believed to be the likely cause of the accident.
