CAPE TOWN - Unions and political parties are warning against tax increases when Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana presents the budget.
The DA says government should protect citizens rather then squeezing them.
ActionSA echoes the same view, calling on government to cut wasteful expenditure.

Cosatu is also rejecting any tax hikes, saying increase will plunge workers into deeper debt.
But, Andre Roux from Stellenbosch Business School says tax hikes seem inevitable at this stage.
Roux also says Godongwana needs to reduce the huge public sector wage bill.
