WATCH: Godongwana feeling good ahead of medium-term budget speech

CAPE TOWN - Well, we might be feeling a bit anxious about the mid-term budget speech this afternoon, but Finance Minister Enoch Godgonwana is feeling good.

"You met the minister, he's in a good mood," Godongwana told eNCA Business anchor Rofhiwa Madzena.

Godongwana has a taxing task.

He presents his statement with calls for a growth-driven budget to address the country's economic woes.

She said the figures released by Treasury show an increase in tax collections.

Cosatu has called for Godongwana to be progressive and bold, while the DA is calling for a growth-focused, disciplined budget.
