JOHANNESBURG - Inflation edged higher yet again in October.
Stats SA released the latest data, bringing CPI to 3.6percent, up from 3.4 in September.
This comes after the South African Reserve Bank and National Treasury officially adopted the 3 percent inflation target last week.
This raises concerns over inflation and how it could affect the pockets of ordinary South Africans.
The main drivers for higher inflation in September were housing and utilities, as well as food and non-alcoholic beverages.
The rising cost of meat remains a worry.
It went up to 11.4 percent compared to last year.
This is due to foot-and-mouth disease in the country.
