Over R70bn of tax crimes prevented after SARS digitalisation upgrades

JOHANNESBURG - More than R70bn of tax-related crimes have been prevented with the upgraded digitalisation of the South African Revenue Service (SARS) systems.

Digitalisation frees up time to investigate irregularities.

SARS Commissioner, Edward Kieswetter was speaking at the Tax Organisation's Technical Conference in Cape Town this week.
