JOHANNESBURG - The Acting CEO of SAA says the airline will respond to financial concerns raised by the Auditor General (AG).
The recovery of SAA has been celebrated after it left Business Rescue in 2021 and returned to profit a couple of years ago.
In February the airline reported a profit of R30 million for the 2024/2025 financial year.
But the results have received a disclaimer from the Auditor General meaning the financial statements are not reliable.
The AG has told Parliament about inferior financial reporting, revenue leakages and a lack of internal controls.
It comes after the previous CEO, John Lamola, resigned with little explanation in April.
The acting CEO, Matshela Seshibe, said they intend to address all the issues raised by the AG.
