Nissan, Stallantis and BMW were all forced to issue new car recalls this week.
We've crunched the numbers and can now reveal that close to 50,000 vehicles have been recalled in South Africa this year thus far.
That’s based on public information so the actual number may be higher.
Under the hood of this year’s recall rush?
Heavyweights like Nissan, BMW, Volvo, Stellantis, Volkswagen, Toyota, Ford, and Mercedes-Benz.
Most of these recalls involve safety-critical components. These include airbags that misfire, seat belts that don’t click, and brakes that just don’t bite.
