JOHANNESBURG - South Africa will need a drastic change in tax laws if it is to implement the National Health Insurance successfully.

That’s according to a study conducted by organised business.

It shows that the R200bn required for the NHI will be difficult to raise.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has now recommended that the government implement policy tools that ensure greater sustainability of healthcare spending.
