Consumers visit casinos, Sun City despite tough times

JOHANNESBURG - Sun International benefited from gaming income which makes up 78.0 percent of group income in the interim trading period.
In its results released on Monday, growth in the sector has risen by almost 7%
That's despite the difficult economic climate and increased competition in the casino business.

Casino income proved resilient and increased by 3.2%.
The company's slots operations were however impacted by blackouts with income slightly behind the prior period.
