JOHANNESBURG - The price of Easter Bunnies are hopping out of control.

Stats SA data shows sugar inflation is sitting at 18-and-a-half percent.

A box of marshmallow eggs ranges between R65 and R100.

Chocolate hen eggs are on average R60 for a six-pack.

Chocolate eggs or bunnies or any other Easter character costs up to R150.

And a firm favourite, a pack of hot cross buns can cost anything between R20 and R40.
