JOHANNESBURG - Discovery Health has vowed to cover the cost of a claims system error that resulted in the overpayment of certain claims during 2025.
Late last year, Discovery identified an error that affected the processing of medication claims on certain plans.
The medical aid says affected members will not be required to repay any amounts related to the error.

Discovery Health CEO, Ron Whelan, apologised and says any members who have already repaid the overpaid amounts will be reimbursed
The error affected over 16 000 members.
The affected group represents 10.5% of the members on their Comprehensive and Executive plans.
