FlySafair slashes ticket prices as jet fuel cost ease

JOHANNESBURG - FlySafair is giving travellers some relief at the checkout.

The airline has cut its fuel surcharge by 40% from the peak reached in March, which will result in lower-cost tickets.

The surcharge was introduced after the Middle East War disrupted global oil supply and sent jet fuel prices soaring.

The Airline was one of the first to hike prices due to the impact.

But with prices cooling and supply conditions stabilising, the low-cost carrier is now passing those savings on to passengers.

The airline says it reviews the surcharge every week and adjusts it according to actual fuel costs.

However, FlySafair warns that fuel prices remain vulnerable to global market movements and geopolitical tensions.
