Hlabisa meets with NMB Business Chamber

JOHANNESBURG - The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Velenkosini Hlabisa, has appealed to business people to be part of solutions in South Africa.

He has been meeting with the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber that represents around 700 businesses across the metro in the Eastern Cape.

The municipality is home to the largest automotive assembly plant in Africa, which produces cars for several major brands.

But Ford recently issued retrenchment notices and other brands with facilities in Gqeberha in Nelson Mandela Bay have been reeling from a hike in Chinese imports and a drop in exports to the United States.

Minister Velenkosini Hlabisa discussed this with eNCA.
