JOHANNESBURG - Average salaries improved in July.
This is according the latest BankservAfrica Take-home Pay Index.
The average nominal take-home pay in July was around R15,500, about R1,000 more than in the previous month.
But, this might be short-lived, with renewed pressure on fuel prices and the depreciation of the rand exchange rate, explains independent economist Elize Kruger.
