HARARE - As Zimbabwe's presidential amnesty prison release programme continues, some prisoners have turned to God.

Inmates from Harare Central Prison graduated with Bible Study Diplomas to aid their efforts to become preachers.

The prisoners were trained by Christian NGO Nehemiah Bible Institute.

Some former inmates say they will use their skills to uplift their communities.

Zimbabwe prison authorities said their partnership with the NGO was bearing fruit.

Last week, officials started the process to grant over 4,000 prisoners amnesty.
