Sleep disorders may worsen anxiety and depression

JOHANNESBURG - Poor sleep is increasingly being recognised as a key contributor to anxiety, depression, and burnout.

A new report from the Restonic Ezintsha Sleep Clinic reveals a strong link between sleep disorders and mental health.

In response, a specialised clinic for insomnia treatment is set to launch next month.

Dr. Alison Bentley says insomnia is often a sign of deeper mental health issues. 

"When poor sleep happens regularly, it can seriously affect concentration and daily performance," says Dr Bentley.
