The 23rd Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture will be delivered by Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, under the theme “Enhancing Peace and Global Cooperation.”
The lecture will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre at 3PM.
Albanese will present her latest report, “The Economy of Occupation to Economy of Genocide,” exploring how the private sector can avoid fuelling conflict and instead help build just and sustainable economies for the future.
Mbongiseni Buthelezi, CEO of the Nelson Mandela Foundation, discussed the upcoming lecture with eNCA.

"We invite our speakers to provoke discussion and debate rather than to prioritise politeness or to simply say what has been said before. After all, what the Nelson Mandela Foundation tries to do is to cause good trouble in the world."
