LONDON - If you enjoy a little siesta in the afternoon, you're doing yourself a world of good.
Researchers at the University College London say regular short naps help keep our brains bigger for longer.
What does that mean? Well, as you age, your brain naturally shrinks.
Brain health is very important to prevent diseases like dementia and Alzheimers.
Now the research team tracked 35,000 people between 40 and 69 comparing nappers and non-nappers.
They found nappers' brains were about 15 cubic centimetres larger than non-nappers.
The full results have been published in the journal 'Sleep Health'.
