The Department of Water and Sanitation has resumed chlorinating the water supply in Bronkhorstspruit.

But residents are still being warned against using the water for drinking, cleaning or washing.

Untreated water may remain in reservoirs and pipelines, which need to be flushed before the supply can be considered safe.
