MFULENI - A Cape Town man accused of murdering his ex-wife has abandoned his bail bid.
Bafana Timotheus (66) appeared in the Blue Downs magistrate’s court.
He faces charges of murder and intimidation with a firearm
Timotheus allegedly ran over his ex-wife, Sharon Kayster, multiple times in a jealous rage.
Kayster died on 18 April.
At the time, Timotheus was out on bail for allegedly threatening Kayster with a gun.
Outside the court, community members and activists protested, demanding a life sentence for Timotheus.
