PHAKE - Eight-year-old Khumo Moselakgomo has lost her mother, and her heartbreaking farewell has left a community demanding justice.
Her mother, 38-year-old Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo, is among nine women whose bodies have been discovered in Ekurhuleni in recent months.
As the family laid her to rest in her home village of Phake in Mpumalanga, friends and loved ones called for accountability.
Khumo was the last person to see her mother alive.
Surrounded by grieving relatives, she delivered a farewell that captured the pain of losing a mother far too soon.

As Khumo mourns the mother she will never see again, the family and community of Phake are demanding answers.
