JOHANNESBURG - At one point, he thought he would never leave captivity alive, let alone make it home.
But against all odds, 27-year-old Vosloorus spaza shop owner Mazwi Khubeka survived a month-long ordeal and is now breaking his silence.

Abducted on 2 April while on his way to the bank, Khubeka says he was blindfolded, moved between locations, starved and tortured during his 30 days in captivity.
He was eventually released near Carnival City, bringing to an end weeks of uncertainty for his family and the Vosloorus community.
