JOHANNESBURG - Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi has reiterated that South Africa is not a safe haven for fugitives from justice ahead of the expected court appearance of UK triple murder suspect Ndodana Tshuma.
Tshuma is expected to appear in the Johannesburg magistrate’s court on Monday after he was arrested in Kensington on Friday.
He is wanted by British authorities for the alleged murders of his wife, 42-year-old Nothabo, and their two daughters, Natalie, 15, and Nala, 5.

Kubayi said Tshuma’s arrest demonstrates South Africa’s commitment to working with international law enforcement agencies to ensure fugitives face justice.
Tshuma was arrested by Interpol during an intelligence-led operation involving Interpol, Crime Intelligence and the Organised Crime Investigation Unit.

The bodies of Tshuma’s wife and daughters were found at their home near Bedford, England. His appearance is expected to pave the way for extradition proceedings as UK authorities seek his return to stand trial.
Authorities say the arrest sends a clear message that South Africa will not become a safe haven for fugitives seeking to evade justice.
