DURBAN - The long-awaited trial into the murders of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, will finally get under way at the Durban High Court on Monday.
Seven accused are facing a string of serious charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of murder, attempted murder, and firearms and ammunition-related offences.
Among those in the dock are brothers Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, who were extradited from Eswatini to South Africa in November 2025 to face the charges.
The accused are alleged to have played various roles in the operation that led to the fatal shooting of AKA and Tibz outside Wish restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road in February 2023.
