Masemola returns before Parly's Ad Hoc Committee

CAPE TOWN - Police boss Fannie Masemola will on Tuesday get a chance to respond to claims at the SAPS Ad Hoc Committee.

He is scheduled to respond to matters that arose during the hearings.

Last year, he testified about the disbandment of the political killings task team.

He claimed suspended Police Minister Senzo Mchunu's instruction to disband the task team encroached on his mandate.

Masemola also said his tenure was affected by cartels.

Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee is nearing the end of its sessions. KwaZulu-Natal provincial commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi will also testify on Wednesday.
