DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal police say the culpable homicide case against an eThekwini Municipality water tanker driver who fatally ran over a man in Adams Mission, Umbumbulu, does not currently warrant an arrest.
Celani Zungu (38) died over the weekend after he was struck by a municipal water tanker during an incident that allegedly erupted when community members confronted the driver over a water delivery.

Residents claimed the limited supply should be shared with the wider community rather than delivered to a single household.
Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed that a case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
The eThekwini Municipality has also launched an internal investigation.
Netshiunda said police have interviewed the driver and obtained his statement.
"As things stand, we don't have anything to arrest him for. But if something comes up from our investigations that warrants the arrest of anybody, we will do so," he said.
Zungu's brother, Sakhile, told eNCA that the driver began moving the truck towards community members during the confrontation.
"He reversed, and when he drove forward again, he ran over my brother.
"My brother had rushed from home to see what was happening. He was walking ahead of me when the driver knocked him down.
"After the truck ran over him the first time, we thought we could pull him out. But then the driver drove over him again, as seen in the video," Sakhile said.
