CAPE TOWN – Parliament’s legal advisors will send a written request to forensic investigator Paul O'Sullivan, asking him to return to the Ad Hoc Committee.
O'Sullivan walked out of Parliament on Thursday while still being questioned, saying he had a plane to catch.

SAPS Ad Hoc Committee Chairperson Soviet Lekganyane told MPs they must first demonstrate that reasonable steps were taken to secure O'Sullivan’s return before issuing a subpoena.
Meanwhile, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) says it will open a criminal case of contempt against O'Sullivan, arguing that his refusal to continue testifying violates the Powers and Privileges Act.

The party has called for his immediate arrest and urged authorities at OR Tambo International Airport to prevent him from leaving the country.
The EFF has also called on National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza to lay formal charges.
