CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape government has shut down its temporary repatriation centre in Epping.
It says migrants needing help must speak to their diplomatic offices directly.
The Human Rights Commission is now pleading with government to provide temporary shelter.
Volunteers are stepping in to assist the almost 800 people who are stranded.
The majority of the people here are undocumented and simply don't know what their future holds.
Humanitarian organisations and private donors continue to provide aid.
