JOHANNESBURG - Disgraced former Deputy Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya is expected back in court on Wednesday as his bail hearing continues.
The proceedings took a dramatic turn on Tuesday when a voice recording introduced serious new allegations into the case.
In the recording, businessman Serge Cabonge allegedly claims that Sibiya received money from alleged crime boss Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala.

Cabonge also allegedly claims that a judge advised him to leave the country after his name surfaced at the Madlanga Commission.
The inquiry has indicated that it plans to obtain Cabonge’s statement as the allegations come under further scrutiny.
