JOHANNESBURG - The National Consumer Commission has issued a safety recall for certain Hino 700 Series trucks.
The recall affects 18 vehicles sold through Toyota dealerships between September and December 2024.
Toyota says a manufacturing defect in the fuel pump housing could cause cracks to develop over time.

Fuel may leak from the vehicle, posing a safety risk.
Owners of affected trucks are being urged to contact their nearest Toyota dealership for an inspection.
Toyota says a new fuel pump will be fitted where necessary, and all inspections and repairs will be carried out for free.
