2024 elections | Millions expected at polling stations

JOHANNESBURG - The historic 2024 elections are underway.

Queues of voters began snaking from as early as 6am this morning.

Close to a million special votes have already been cast and millions more are expected today.

A few reports of ballots being late to some stations but other than that a smooth morning so far.

A total of 27.79 million people are registered to vote this year, the highest number ever.

However, projections show that the ANC could lose ground in this election.
