JOHANNESBURG - A 23-year-old woman has been shot dead during an alleged armed robbery in Thembisa.
The woman was found dead in Mapungubwe Stree at about 5.45am on Monday. She was reportedly on her way to work when she was shot. Her belongings were taken during the incident.

Police said the woman had been identified, but her family had yet to be formally notified.
“Preliminary investigations have not established any link between this incident and the recent cases involving the bodies of women found in Ekurhuleni,” police said.
No arrests have been made. Police said they were following up on leads.
