DURBAN - The murder trial of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, continues at the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Durban on Tuesday, with the State expected to call another witness.
Proceedings got off to a rocky start on Monday, with delays caused by a power outage, a faulty air conditioner and a late interpreter.

The proceedings also continue under revised media-reporting rules, which allow witness testimony to be broadcast while protecting witnesses’ identities and personal details.
Forbes and Motsoane were shot and killed outside a restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road on 10 February 2023.
Seven men are standing trial in connection with their murders. All seven have pleaded not guilty.
